Jaroslaw Niezgoda tallied a pair of second half goals, Sebastian Blanco netted a penalty kick right before half time, and the Portland Timbers earned a crucial three points with a 3-0 home win over the Colorado Rapids on Saturday night.
The Timbers improve to 4-6-7 on the year, on 19 points through 17 matches played. They are at the halfway point of the regular season.
