Jackson Shelstad and West Linn upset Bronny James and Sierra Canyon 86-69 at Les Schwab Invitational semifinals

What a scene Thursday night inside the gym at Liberty High School in Hillsboro, as Jackson Shelstad led West Linn to a statement win over Bronny James and Sierra Canyon 86-69 in the semifinals of the Les Schwab Invitational.
West Linn advances to the LSI championship game Friday night at 8:45 p.m. against Duncanville (Tex.), the nation’s top-ranked high school team.
Shelstad, a signee to the University of Oregon, scored a game-high 38 points to lead West Linn to victory, while senior Adrian Mosley scored 28 points and collected 11 rebounds.
James was limited to 10 points in the loss for Sierra Canyon.
West Linn won the game despite not making a single three-pointer (0-11). The Lions feasted at the foul line, making 26 of their 34 free-throws. Shelstad went 16-18 from the line. Sierra Canyon committed 22 fouls and 11 turnovers.
West Linn trailed 41-40 at halftime but outscored the Trailblazers in the second half 47-29.
West Linn faces Duncanville (Tex.) in the championship game of the 26th Les Schwab Invitational on Friday night.
