The Pac 12 media rights deal hasn’t happened yet, but that doesn’t mean conference realignment stops. It has been long rumored that San Diego State was an obvious choice to join the Pac 12 once USC and UCLA left for the Big 10. Jon Schaffer of 760 AM in San Diego joined John Canzano on the Bald Faced Truth and said it makes sense for the Aztecs to join the conference, “It is a very large city. So I think they recognize the fact that they’ve done the work that puts them in a position to be where they are,” Schaffer went on to say now is the time, “It just makes a lot of sense for San Diego State to kind of be the next school up to climb that ladder to a power 5.”
