Huskies Hire New Offensive Coordinator, John Donovan
Washington’s new head coach Jimmy Lake made his first major coaching hire this morning. The Huskies will welcome John Donovan in as their new offensive coordinator, after the firing of Bush Hamdan.
It wasn’t the flashy hire that Husky fans may have been hoping for, but Donovan does have five years of experience as an offensive coordinator at the collegiate level (three with Vanderbilt and two with Penn St). He also spent the last four seasons in the NFL, working on the offensive staff of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Donovan will also serve as the Huskies quarterbacks coach. Jimmy Lake believes that his experience spending significant time learning and growing in the NFL, will give the team a major boost as they prepare to execute an aggressive pro-style offense in the years to come.
