Marco Gonzales dominated a bad Detroit offense, while the Mariner bats showed up in full force on Saturday at T-Mobile Park.

The Gonzaga product pitched seven strong innings and allowed just one run on six hits, while striking out eight Tiger batters.

Omar Narvaez paced the Seattle offense, going 4-for-5 with two runs scored.

31-year-old rookie Ryan Court made his major league debut Friday night when he came in to pinch-hit in the ninth. Saturday would be a totally different story for Court.

The latest Mariner call-up collected his first MLB hit and run batted in during the fourth inning. Then, he crushed a ball for a ground-rule double in the seventh for two more RBI.

Court, a utility man, started the day in right field, and finished the game with a catch of the final out at first base. Court went 2-for-5 with three RBI at the plate.
