Four Ducks, Two Beavers Named to All-Pac-12 team for Women’s Hoops
The Pac-12 recognized the excellence of Oregon and Oregon State today. Six players between the two schools were named to the All Conference Women’s Basketball team.
Oregon’s representatives include senior Maite Cazorla, juniors Ruthy Hebard and Sabrina Ionescu and sophomore Satou Sabally. Oregon State saw junior Mikayla Pivec and third-year sophomore Destiny Slocum named to the Women’s All-Pac-12 team.
Hebard and Ionescu are three-time All-Pac-12 team members, while Cazorla is a two-time All-Pac-12 teamer.
Pivec and Slocum are first-time All Pac-12 members. Pivec was an honorable mention last year. Slocum received Second Team All-Big-Ten honors her freshman year at Maryland.
There are 15 members of the All-Pac-12 team. Oregon’s four players is the most for any one school. Stanford is second with three All-Conference members.
Oregon also had third-year sophomore Erin Boley named as an honorable mention. Oregon State sophomore Aleah Goodman also received an honorable mention.
The Pac-12 also announced the All-Defensive and All-Freshman teams. The Ducks had honorable mentions on both teams, including Taylor Chavez for the All-Freshman team and Cazorla for the All-Defensive team.
Oregon State senior Katie McWilliams was named an All-Defensive honorable mention.
Oregon sits at No. 6, while Oregon State is No. 11 in the most recent AP Poll.
The Pac-12 will reveal the Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, John R. Wooden Coach of the Year and Sixth Player of the Year tonight on Pac-12 Network.
