Former NFL Head Coach Marty Schottenheimer Dies at 77 due to Alzheimer’s

We are saddened to hear of the loss of one of the great NFL coaches of our time. It was reported on Tuesday morning that Marty Schottenheimer (77) passed away peacefully with family by his side on Monday February 8, 2021 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Schottenheimer had been battling Alzheimer’s since 2014. He was inducted into the Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Fame in 2010. Chiefs’ Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt released a statement on the passing of the legendary coach.

Schottenheimer was also known for building quite the coaching tree through his time in the NFL.
