Former Ducks Running Back Travis Dye Transferring to USC

Running Back Travis Dye announced last week he entered the transfer portal and Friday afternoon he made his decision, Lincoln Riley’s USC. Dye, who grew up in Southern California, is returning home as a graduate transfer after he obtained his degree in Eugene.

Dye was crucial to the Oregon offense this season particularly after C.J Verdell got injured for the season and Dye became the lone starting back. Dye finished with 1,271 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2021 and led Oregon with 46 receptions.

In the four seasons Dye saw the field in Eugene, he finished with a combined 3111 rushing yards, 869 receiving yards, and 29 total touchdowns.

Dye supplements several impressive in-conference additions for Lincoln Riley at USC: Dye from Oregon, RB Austin Jones from Stanford, and WR Brenden Rice from Colorado.

USC and Oregon will not meet in the regular season with the nearest date Dye could face off against his former team is the Pac-12 Championship on December 2nd in Las Vegas.
