Evander Earns His Money And The Timbers Win, 3-1

By 750 THE GAME STAFF

The big acquisition in the offseason was Evander. He signed a reported $10 million dollar deal to join the Timbers. And he earned his money on Saturday night.

The Timbers started the scoring off in the second minute with a Franck Boli goal which was the quickest goal in MLS this season.

It was then Evander’s first goal as a Timber at Providence Park. Some great passing by the Timbers leads to an easy goal for the Brazilian.

After a 2-1 halftime lead. The Timbers got another goal from their star. This time, it was a special goal that not many in the MLS could score.

The brace for Evander was his first in the MLS as the Timbers get a much needed win over the Vancouver Whitecaps at Providence Park 3-1.

Next up for the Timbers is a mid-week match on Wednesday against Real Salt Lake. Kickoff at 6:30 p.m. with pregame starting at 5:30 p.m. exclusively on 750 The Game.
