ESPN: Oregon State Expected to Hire Arizona RB Coach AJ Steward to same role

Oregon State lost their running backs roach to the NFL earlier this month. The Beavs have reportedly found their new RB coach.
ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg reports the Beavs are “expected to hire” AJ Steward to replace Michael Pitre as the OSU RB coach.
Steward spent last season as both the Arizona Wildcats running backs coach and as an assistant head coach for Kevin Sumlin.
Before UA, Steward joined Rice as a graduate assistant (2012-13) before serving as the Owls’ RB coach from 2014-17. Then, from 2018-19, Steward also coached running backs for BYU.
If nothing else, Steward has plenty of experience coaching running backs.
Sources: #OregonState is expected to hire A.J. Steward as running backs coach. Steward coached running backs at Arizona in 2020 after holding the same role at BYU and Rice. He will replace Michael Pitre, who left to coach running backs with the Chicago Bears.
