Eight Days Later, Timbers Draw Colorado 0-0 With Second Half Restart

It’s finally in the books.

Eight days after starting the match, the Portland Timbers and Colorado Rapids finished where they started, tying 0-0.

The game that was abandoned at halftime on July 4th due to severe weather restarted with the second half on a sweltering Wednesday night outside of Denver.

The road point puts Portland on 23 points through 22 matches played, 12th in the Western Conference standings. The top nine teams in each conference make the postseason in 2023.

The Timbers next face the Columbus Crew on Saturday night at Providence Park before commencing competition in the first annual Leagues Cup.

Pregame at 6:30 p.m., kickoff at 7:30 p.m. on 750-AM and 750TheGame.com. It will include a pregame and halftime ceremony inducting Diego Valeri into the club’s Ring of Honor, the sixth member to be inducted.
