Ducks Senior Chris Duarte Named Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

Oregon Ducks senior guard Chris Duarte earned his second Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week this season.

It also marks Duarte’s fourth career Player of the Week award, which matches the record for an Oregon player. He is now tied with Dillon Brooks and Blair Rasmussen.

Last week, Duarte helped the Ducks go 3-0. The senior averaged 18.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3 assists per game. He also went 17-of-30 (56.67 percent) from the floor and 7-of-12 (58.3 percent) from three.

Duarte is a finalist for the Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year, which will be awarded on April 9. Overall this season, he’s averaging 17.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.

Duarte also won the Player of the Week honor on Jan. 4 this season.

Also nominated this week were James Akinjo, Arizona; McKinley Wright IV, Colorado; Warith Alatishe, Oregon State; Tahj Eaddy, USC; and Timmy Allen, Utah.
