Ducks Rally In Vegas To Beat No. 20 Texas A&M 80-70 At Players Era Festival

The Oregon Ducks stayed unbeaten to start the year thanks to a second half comeback Tuesday in Las Vegas to beat No. 20 Texas A&M 80-70 at the Players Era Festival from MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Oregon trailed by as many as ten in the second half before going on a 16-0 run midway through the period to seize control at 64-58. The Aggies rallied back and made it a tie game at 70-70 with under two minutes left.

The Ducks finished the game strong at the free-throw line and scored the game’s final 11 points to win it 80-70. Texas A&M missed their last 11 shots from the floor.

Four of Oregon’s five starters scored in double-figures led by the 18 points of senior transfer TJ Bamba. West Linn native Jackson Shelstad had 16 points as did Stanford transfer Brandon Angel while senior Jadrian Tracey added 11 points.

Oregon (6-0) returns to action Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. as play continues in the Power bracket against San Diego State.
