Ducks QB Bo Nix Adds Davey O'Brien Award To Preseason Watch Lists

Oregon Ducks quarterback Bo Nix has been named to another preseason award watch list, this time the Davey O’Brien Award, presented to the country’s top QB each season. It is the oldest and most prestigious quarterback award in college football.

Nix ranked 12th in the country in total yards in 2022, his first season at Oregon, with 4,103 yards, averaging over 315 yards a game. He is one of 35 quarterbacks on the preseason watch list. The midseason watch list will be released Oct. 24th. Nix was one of the semifinalists for the award last year, fifteen of whom return this season.

Nix set a Ducks program record in completion percentage in 2022 at 71.9%, ranking second in the country. His 14 rushing scores led the country among quarterbacks and was the second-most QB rushing TDs in Ducks history.
