Ducks Men Topple Buffs, 60-56

Oregon men’s basketball picked up their eighth Pac-12 win of the season after beating Colorado, 60-56, on Thursday night.

The Ducks didn’t have one standout, but several players kept the scoring balanced.

Senior Chris Duarte led the way with 18 points. He was one of three Ducks in double figures.

Redshirt-senior Eugene Omoruyi scored 13. Meanwhile, junior Will Richardson poured in 11 points, including Oregon’s final five points of the night.

The Ducks also got seven points apiece from sophomore Chandler Lawson and senior LJ Figueroa. Finally, freshman Franck Kepnang scored four points.

At halftime, Oregon found themselves trailing by five. However, they outscored the Buffs 35-26 in the second half.

Senior D’Shawn Schwartz led Colorado with 16 points in the loss.

With the win, the Ducks sit at No. 3 in the Pac-12 standings, behind USC & UCLA and just ahead of Colorado.

Up next, Oregon faces Utah on Saturday at 6 p.m. PT on the Pac-12 Networks.
