Devon Williams Officially Joins Ducks
EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon head coach Mario Cristobal announced on Wednesday that former USC wide receiver Devon Williams has enrolled in school, attended classes and been added as a member of the program.
Williams, who has three years of eligibility, played in 12 games as a true freshman for the Trojans last season, catching four passes for 87 yards and a touchdown. The Lancaster, Calif., native started this season with the Trojans, but left the team after playing in one game.
“We’re thrilled to have Devon as part of our family. We have a strong relationship with him dating back to our initial recruitment and we’re really fired up to have him here with us,” said head coach Mario Cristobal. “He was one of the more talented players in the country coming out of high school and that hasn’t changed. Devon is an exceptional young man and our guys have welcomed him with open arms.”
Rated as both a wide receiver and athlete coming out of Antelope Valley High School, Williams was ranked as the No. 16 player in the country by ESPN, as well as No. 40 by 247Sports and No. 47 by Rivals.
