This is what Oregon State said in a press release Wednesday night:
“Oregon State head coach Jonathan Smith announced Wednesday that former four-star wide receiver Devon Williams (pronounced Dev-un) has transferred to the program. Williams is a true sophomore and per NCAA rules will not be eligible to play in a game the rest of the 2019 season. He will have three years to play three starting in 2020.”
Williams was thought to be a sure-fire Beaver after reports Wednesday that he committed to Oregon State. But in a bizarre twist, Williams has flipped to Oregon.
