The Mariners hit four solo HRs this afternoon, but it wasn’t enough as they lose their sixth game in a row, 4-3 to Cleveland. Seattle had a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the 8th inning, but the bullpen wasn’t able to hold the lead. Pitcher Connor Sadzeck gave up a 2-run home run to Carlos Santana with two outs in the 8th inning. It was another tough loss to Cleveland for the Mariners as they are now 0-6 against the Indians on the season, with all those loses coming by a combined eight runs.

Edwin Encarnacion, Daniel Vogelbach, Tim Beckham, and Dylan Moore all hit solo shots for the Mariners. Starting pitcher Mike Leake had a solid outing, going 6 innings, allowing 7 hits and 3 earned runs.

Seattle has now lost six games in a row, and it finally seems like they’re falling back to earth after their scorching hot start to the season. Up next, they continue their series with Cleveland tomorrow afternoon.
