Dan Lanning NFL Buzz Draws Attention As Oregon Marches Through The Big Ten

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler raised eyebrows this week when he included Oregon head coach Dan Lanning in his coaching buzz report for the NFL next season.
The college-to-pros coaching pipeline has slowed a bit, save Jim Harbaugh. But a name that a few people around the league have brought up to me in recent weeks: Oregon’s Dan Lanning.

Lanning’s $20 Million buyout at Oregon make him a prohibitive hire for anyone in the NFL or college football. But the fact many NFL execs liken him to a younger version of Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell is notable considering Campbell’s remarkable success building the Detroit Lions into an NFC power.
Oregon Ducks AD Rob Mullens told 750 The Game this week that Lanning is a “great coach” who is “all in at the University of Oregon.”
“He loves the community and he’s focused on delivering for these fans and these student-athletes every single day.”
The Ducks are on bye this week before hosting Washington on Nov. 30th.
