In previous years, fans, media and even Lillard himself wondered if he’d be an All-Star. This year finally seemed like a foregone conclusion.
The 2020 NBA All-Star Game marks Lillard’s fifth career appearance and his third straight season being selected as an All-Star.
Lillard was third among West guards in the All-Star Starters voting process. He was only behind Luka Doncic and James Harden, who will both start.
Now we wait to see if Lillard will be on Team LeBron for a second straight All-Star game or if he’ll be a Team Giannis selection. The All-Star Game Draft is set for Feb. 6. The game itself will be Feb. 16 with a new format.
