Dame Goes On IG Live With “Welcome To Miami” Playing In Background

Trail Blazers fans are pining to hear anything from Damian Lillard following Portland’s controversial decision to use the number three overall pick on fellow point guard Scoot Henderson in Thursday’s NBA Draft instead of trading it for a veteran.
JOE CRONIN: I HAVE “ZERO DESIRE” TO TRADE DAMIAN LILLARD
Dame didn’t say anything, really. But he did hop on Instagram with a live broadcast as he often does with his fanbase on social media.
Lillard was enjoying a drink and in a club-like environment with music playing in the background.
The song?
“Welcome to Miami” by Will Smith.
Blazers fans hope it was only a coincidence.
Lillard went on a podcast recently and listed Miami and Brooklyn as his preferred trade destinations if he is ever dealt by the Trail Blazers.
General manager Joe Cronin said he spoke at length with Lillard on Tuesday morning about the team’s approach to the draft and any trade possibilities, but indicated there was a strong likelihood they would take a player with the third overall selection.
Lillard has also said on the record he does not want another teenage prospect, however promising, to develop before the team can become a serious contender in the Western Conference.
Cronin said Thursday after the draft that he has “zero interest” in trading Lillard, and said he thinks Lillard and Henderson can play together at the same time despite playing the same position.
Is Pat Riley starting to sense an opportunity to lure Lillard to South Beach?
Maybe Pat was the DJ at Dame’s vacation spot. Wouldn’t put it past him.
