Coco Gauff’s memorable Wimbledon run ends in Round of 16

The incredible journey of 15-year-old Coco Gauff at Wimbledon came to an end Monday across the pond with a straight sets loss to No.7 seed Simona Halep on center court.
Halep won 6-3, 6-3 to advance past Gauff and into the quarterfinals. She will face unseeded Shaui Zhang from China with a chance to reach the semifinals.
Gauff reached the round of sixteen after winning each of her first three matches in England, including a second-round upset of her childhood idol, Venus Williams. Gauff is the youngest player ever to reach a main draw.
