CFP: Oregon Ducks Remain No. 1 Ahead Of Rivalry Showdown With Washington Huskies

750 The Game Staff

The Oregon Ducks will be the No. 1 team in the country ahead of facing their rival Washington Huskies on Saturday night at Autzen Stadium (4:30 p.m., NBC).

The Ducks (11-0, 8-0 Big Ten) are the lone unbeaten team in major college football and unsurprisingly repeat as No. 1 in the fourth edition of the CFP rankings released Tuesday evening.

Oregon has already clinched a spot in next week’s Big Ten Championship Game in Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. Their opponent will be No. 2 Ohio State provided the Buckeyes can beat rival Michigan at Ohio Stadium on Saturday. A Buckeyes loss would open the door for Indiana or Penn State to reach the Big Ten title game and face Oregon.

The Boise State Broncos move up a spot to No. 11 in the CFP after a narrow win over Wyoming. Boise State hosts Oregon State on Friday (9:00 a.m., FOX).

There will be two more versions of the CFP rankings, including next Tuesday ahead of conference championship week, and the final rankings reveal and playoff field on Sunday, Dec. 8th at 9:00 a.m.
