CFB: First Preseason Coaches Poll Released, Ducks Come in at No. 9

The first college football preseason coaches poll was released on Thursday morning. The Clemson Tigers came in at No. 1 for the second season in a row, and have Championship aspirations with Heisman front-runner Trevor Lawrence competing in his final season before entering the NFL Draft.
Oregon came in at No. 9, while the top-3 teams shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. Clemson and Alabama have each made the CFB Playoff in five out of six seasons, while Ohio State has made it in three times.
