Boston Celtics coach Ime Udoka is likely facing a suspension for the entire 2022-23 season for his role in a relationship with a female member of the franchise’s staff. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news Wednesday night:

The relationship is considered a violation of the organization’s guidelines. A formal announcement is expected as soon as Thursday.

Udoka led the Celtics to the NBA Finals in his first season last year, where they fell to the Golden State Warriors. Assistant coach Joe Mazzulla is likely to become Boston’s interim coach for the season.
