Bucks go wire-to-wire, top Trail Blazers 127-108

The Portland Trail Blazers got a look at a legitimate championship contender, and it went about as well as expected.

The Milwaukee Bucks led for the entire game, an efficient 127-108 dismantling of a lesser Trail Blazers team missing their starting center.

Bucks center Brook Lopez took advantage of Jusuf Nurkic’s absence, going for 27 points and nine rebounds against a smaller Portland frontcourt. Reigning Eastern Conference Player of the Week Giannis Antetokounmpo had 24 points in only 23 minutes of action.

For the Trail Blazers, Damian Lillard, the Western Conference Player of the Week for the second straight week, was “held” to 28 points. Anfernee Simons chipped in 21.

Up next for Portland, they face the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night.
