Brandon Roy To Represent The Blazers At The Lottery

By STEVEN VAUGHAN, 750 THE GAME

The most important day of the year is coming up for the Trail Blazers. The NBA Draft Lottery is Tuesday, May 16th.

With the Blazers having a 10.5% chance of landing the first pick, Portland needs some luck.

For that, the team hopes lucky #7 will be their ticket once again. Brandon Roy has been announced as the Blazers representative for the NBA Draft lottery.

Roy represented the Trail Blazers back in 2007 when Portland jumped up and got the #1 overall pick to draft Greg Oden. The Blazers had a 5.3% chance of grabbing the top pick in 2007.

Roy played five season for the Trail Blazers averaging 19 points per game, but his career was shortened due to injury. It’s always one of the bigger what ifs in Trail Blazers franchise history. Rip City is hoping Roy can bring the luck again and snag his second ever #1 overall draft pick and put the Blazers on a great trajectory.
