Bo Nix named to Davey O’Brien Award Watch List

Oregon Ducks quarterback Bo Nix has been named to the preseason watch list for the 2022 Davey O’Brien Award, the award’s foundation announced Tuesday.

Nix is one of 35 quarterbacks to be named to the watch list, and one of four quarterbacks from the Pac-12 Conference.  The award is the oldest and most prestigious national quarterback award.

Nix is in an open competition for the starting quarterback position on the Oregon football team, along with Ty Thompson and Jay Butterfield, entering fall camp.

Oregon’s season-opener is Sept. 3rd in Atlanta, Ga., against the defending national champion Georgia Bulldogs (12:30 p.m., ABC).
