Blazers Trade For Deni Avdija Before NBA Draft

The Trail Blazers made a splash right before the NBA draft. According to Woj, the Trail Blazers acquired 23 year old forward Deni Avdija from the Washington Wizards for the no. 14 pick in the 2024 NBA draft, Malcolm Brodgon, and a 2029 draft pick.

Avdija averaged 14.7 ppg, 7.2 rpg, and 3.8 apg last season for the Wizards while shooting 50.6% from the field and 37.4% from three point range. The 6’9″ forward signed a four year $55 million dollar deal with the Wizards and will be in the first year of that contract with the Blazers.
