Blazers Swept by Warriors, Lose Game 4 in OT 119-117
For the third straight game the Blazers blew a big double digit lead in the 2nd half. Portland had a 17 point lead with 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, but they couldn’t hold on as they fell to the Warriors in overtime 119-117. Steph Curry and Draymond Green were too much to handle tonight as both finished with triple-doubles. Curry finished with 37 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists while Green chipped in 18 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists including a big time dagger 3-pointer in OT.
For the second game in a row Meyers Leonard played fantastic. The big guy finished with a career high 30 points to go along with 12 rebounds. Leonard will probably be the staring center next year and hopefully this can boost his confidence. Damian Lillard played much better tonight, he finished with 28 points and 12 assists but he did miss the final 3-point attempt at the buzzer to win the game.
Golden State wins the series 4-0 and they advance to their 5th straight NBA finals appearance.
It was a hell of a season for Rip City. They advanced to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2000 and provided many memories for the fans. Nothing to hang your head about.
