Blazers’ CJ McCollum Donates $170K to Coronavirus relief efforts

Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum continued his philanthropic efforts on Thursday with $170,000 going to coronavirus relief efforts.

McCollum will give $70,000 to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Portland Metro Area. The former Lehigh grad will also donate the other $100,000 to the Akron-Canton Food Bank.

That $100,000 will provide 400,000 meals to families in McCollum’s hometown of Canton, as well as other towns in Stark and Tuscarawas counties, according to Yahoo’s Chris B. Haynes.

On Tuesday, his teammate, Damian Lillard, also donated $100,000 to the Blazers’ COVID-19 relief fund, which will support local non-profits impacted by the virus.
