Best Of BFT: Cristobal’s Exit Interview, Lanning’s BFT Debut, and more
All week we’ve been revisiting some top moments over the last year-plus on The Bald Faced Truth with John Canzano.
Leading off Friday’s ‘Best Of’ finale, we re-aired two seminal moments for the Oregon Ducks program. The first came on Monday, Dec. 7th, 2021, the day the news broke that Mario Cristobal was leaving Oregon to become the new head coach at his alma mater, Miami.
Cristobal took it upon himself to call in to The Bald Faced Truth and give his reasoning for leaving Eugene for Miami, his gratitude for his time with Oregon, and why he understands if fans are frustrated with his decision to leave.
Then, new Oregon Ducks head coach Dan Lanning made his BFT debut a few weeks later after officially becoming Cristobal’s successor.
Plus, a two-part conversation with Bill Moos, former athletic director of Oregon, Washington State, and Nebraska on the state of the Pac-12 Conference following USC and UCLA’s decision to bolt for the Big Ten.
Oregon State head coach Jonathan Smith and Washington head coach Kalen DeBoer, the two Pac-12 Co-Coach of the Year award winners, were featured on the program.
And of course the one and only Bill Schonely, The Mayor of Rip City, reads aloud some holiday classics in A Night Before Christmas and The Polar Express.
John Canzano returns for live editions of The Bald Faced Truth on Tues., Dec. 27th.
Thank you for listening all week to the BFT and for making it the top sports talk show in the region.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from 750 The Game!
