The Houston Astros dominated Seattle in the three-game series including a combined no-hitter on Saturday. Sunday, the M’s got a hit, four in fact, and had chances to score multiple runs. But Seattle only managed a Kyle Seager home run on the scoreboard.

The Mariners are now 0-6 at Minute Maid Park this season. They’re not much better at home against Houston (1-6). In short, it’s been a rough year for Seattle in games with the Astros.

Tommy Milone pitched well as the “headliner” after Sam Tuivailala opened the game. Unfortunately, the Astros are just that good right now, and might be the team to beat for the World Series title come October.

Houston’s fourth straight win, and seventh in eight tries, kept the M’s down until Seager’s 7th inning homer.

The Astros scored their first run on an infield single when Seager couldn’t quite get a grip on the chopper to third. Houston got their final two runs on sacrifice fly balls deep in the outfield.

The M’s nightmare roadtrip ends with a record of 1-4.
