Astros Feast on M’s Bullpen, Houston Scores 7 Late to Beat Seattle 11-5
Once is an accident. Twice is a coincidence. 14 times is a trend that might not stop.
The Mariners have allowed 10-plus runs in a game this season 14 times, which leads Major League Baseball.
It would also be their 12th loss by six or more runs in their last 34 games. That’s 35 percent of them.

Through three innings, it looked like this game would be a fun back and forth battle. In the 5th inning, the Astros took a 4-1 lead.
Daniel Vogelbach helped the M’s take the lead in the 6th with a bases-clearing pinch-hit 3-Run Double, which put Seattle up 5-4.
The Astros went on to score the final seven runs of the game.
