Angels Slug 3 Homers, Beat M’s 6-3
Seattle didn’t get a ton of offense Saturday afternoon, but the runs they did score were exciting for Edwin Encarnación.
After the Mariners trailed 3-0 through three innings, Encarnación hit career home runs 394 and 395 to help tie the game at 3 apiece.
Saturday became Encarnación’s 34th career multi-HR game, and his second this season.
Unfortunately, the 3-3 tie was all the Mariners could muster against LA.
Kole Calhoun broke the tie in the 8th with a two-run shot, and Mike Trout destroyed a ball in the ninth to put the Angels up 6-3.
Winning Pitcher, (2-3) Cam Bedrosian: 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 K, 0 BB
Losing Pitcher, (2-3) Brandon Brennan: 1.0 IP, 1 ER, 1 K, 2 BB
Save (7), Hansel Robles: 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 2 K, 0 BB
