The Timbers find themselves in the wrong part of the record book after FC Dallas smothered Portland 5-0 Saturday night in Frisco, Texas.

Dallas had no problem all night finding the back of the net, even getting help from Portland themselves on their first goal, when Honyer Mosquera deflected in ball past Troy Perkins.

Not that they needed the help, as they would find themselves scoring four more times.

Portland, meanwhile, set the not prestigious record of consecutive scoreless minutes on the road. The streak is now at 697 minutes, surpassing the New York Red Bulls who used to hold the distinction.

FC Dallas would tack on their first goal in the 26th minute when Andrew Jacobson found the bottom left corner of the net.

Dallas took their 2-0 lead to the half, but wasted no time expanding the score in the second half when Jackson found the back of the net.

The goals were relentless as two more would be tacked on in the 69th and 81st by Scott Sealy and Ruben Luna, respectively.

Portland remains the only winless team in MLS as they fall to 0-7-2 outside the friendly confines of Jeld-Wen.

Fortunately for them, the team's next three game will all be in front of the Timber's Army.

Portland hosts Aston Villa Tuesday in a friendly before playing Chivas USA Saturday night.
