New voice of American soccer for NBC Sports, Arlo White, and Academy Director for the Portland Timbers, Mike Smith, joins the show to talk some Timbers.
Arlo, joins John to explain what his transition has been like from working for the Sounders to the NBC network. What his relationship is like with the Seattle organization now and how the fans are treating him after leaving. Also, Strong talks with Arlo about his time prior to working with the Sounders and his time at BBC and how his path led him to the great PNW.
 

Then later, Academy Director for the Portland Timbers, Mike Smith, joins the show to talk about the ever expanding Oregon Youth Soccer Association and all of the Timbers’ youth development programs. Also discussed is what the U-16 and U-18 teams are looking forward to this upcoming spring and what goes into creating the teams. John also asks Mike about the early success of the brand and if they’re competitive for being a new team. Lastly, Mike gives you a few names that you might hear come up through the ranks and get a shot at cracking the MLS ranks.
