After a tough road trip and dropping the final game of the recent back-to-back-to-back to the Golden State Warriors, Jay Allen and Michael Holton sit down for an episode of Courtside to break down the mid season slide that the Blazers seem to be in. The guys want to figure out what happened in the past few weeks and they look forward to how the team can improve.
On Wednesday’s show Assistant Coach, Bob Ociepka, Suns beat writer, Paul Coro, and radio play by play voice, Brian Wheeler are all guests. Some of the questions asked to these guys are what happened as far as the defensive aspect that led to Steph Curry making 6 of 8 three pointers. Are the guys getting tired from the back-to-back-to-back and or this condensed, fast-paced season so far? Also, Ociepka breaks down how the Blazers plan to attack the zone defense and how were the Warriors were able to hold the Blazers to just 40 points in the second half of Wednesday’s game. They also talk about what happens in most of the home pre-games as far as the shoot around and what time the players start showing up to the arena. Then the guys of Courtside ask the guys what they think of the Suns this season so fat and about the match-up problems Marcin Gortat may present for LaMarcus Aldridge. Lastly, the guys dive into Portland’s guard problems and talk about what the team might do in the future.
