The NFL is where dreams are made and broken and the 2012 NFL draft was the beginning of dreams for a couple NFL hopefuls. Mark Asper and Jason Slowey joined the Bald Faced Truth with John Canzano to talk about their NFL draft experience.
Two different players, two different schools but very similar dreams.
Former Oregon Ducks offensive lineman Mark Asper joined John Canzano for a conversation about his experience being drafted over the weekend to the NFL. Asper was chosen by the Buffalo Bills in the 6th round of the draft. Mark talked about what it was like and what he was doing as his name was called. He explained what happens when the viewers see the draftees talking on cell phones. Canzano asked Asper what the emotion was like as his name was called. Asper also explains how important it is for an offensive lineman to be able to play multiple positions in the NFL.
Jason Slowey, like Mark Asper is an offensive lineman and attends an Oregon college. However he hails from Western Oregon and was a 6th round pick of the San Francisco 49ers. Slowey talked about how his parents left the draft party to go to the market and while they were gone his name was called by the Niners. Slowey is happy to have been drafted and will work hard to make their roster.
