With the Portland Timbers losing five of their previous six games, the coaching staff instituted a shakeup to the starting lineup that resulted in a 0-0 draw versus the Columbus Crew on Saturday.  Coach Mike Toshack joined the Morning Sports Page Tuesday to weigh in on that shake up and give fans reason to believe the season is getting back on the right course.

Coach Toshack explains that the team focused on being more aggressive Saturday, as it outshot Columbus 15-8 overall.  He also emphasizes that the defense stepped up in a big way in the face of criticism.  So far this season, the Timbers have given up a league-high six goals in the final 15 minutes of action.  Take a listen as he explains that, goalkeeper Troy Perkins was the key to their great defensive night.

The Timbers get the week off this week and are back in action on May 15, when they take on the Houston Dynamo at BBVA Compass Stadium.  Coach Toshack emphasizes that this should give the team some much-needed rest to rehab some nagging injuries.
