Colin Amos of the Law Offices of Goldberg Jones, Divorce for Men, joins Chad in studio to talk about some common misconceptions husbands, fathers and boyfriends may have in regards to their rights if a divorce or separation is process.

One of the biggest problems facing recently separated couples is that they can’t come to an agreement on who owns what, who is responsible for what, and what would be in the best interests of other parties involved. Chad talks with Colin about some steps unhappy couples can take that will provide some resolution.
One of the common misunderstandings couples face in their separations occurs with their interpretations of the law. Colin emphasizes that this is one of the main reasons to call him for a free consultation. Each case has significant distinctions and interpretations are not universal.
Colin also points out that a couple does not necessarily need to be married in order to be viewed as a married couple by the legal system. The more couples behave like a married couple, the more likely it is that they will be viewed as a married couple by people having to assess a separation.
