Coming off a season in which he was selected to the Pac-12 first team, Oregon Senior Linebacker Josh Kaddu was selected in the fifth-round of the NFL draft by the Miami Dolphins. He joined the Morning Sports Page to break down the anxiety filled weekend, leading up to being selected by the Dolphins.

He was drafted 155th overall, becoming the second Oregon player taken; LaMichael

James was selected in the 3rd round, 61st overall.  Kaddu’s selection marks the second time in two years that the Ducks have had a linebacker get drafted.

In Miami, Kaddu will join a talented linebacking corps that already includes Karlos Dansby, Cameron Wake and Gary Guyton.

As a captain in 2011-12, Kaddu put together a season that included: 44 tackles, 6.5 sacks and nearly 10 tackles for loss.

In his four-year career at the University of Oregon, Josh Kaddu accumulated nearly 100 total tackles, 10 sacks, and more than 12 tackles for loss.

He joined the program to talk with Chad about the nerve-wracking waiting period, one that eats away at guys who are uncertain where they will go, if at all, to the league. So much is on the line; so much hard work, time and effort, perseverance and preparation goes into this weekend. So how was it to hear that his number was called by the Dolphins in the 5th round, and where was he when he heard the news? Kaddu weighs in on his time at Oregon, how he feels fellow Ducks in James, Mark Asper, Eddie Pleasant, Cliff Harris, Darrion Weems and Lavasier Tuinei will fair in the league, and what are his biggest areas of improvement in order to take his game to the next level?

Check out Chad’s interview with newest Dolphin, Josh Kaddu.
