Frank Stallone/Zimbio
Frank Stallone is a Grammy Award-nominated songwriter.   He has acted in over 50 movies and he comes from the bloodlines of one of Chad’s personal favorites – Sylvester Stallone.  He joined Chad on the MSP Wednesday to talk about his many talents.

Stallone recently appeared on an episode of “Live From Daryl’s House” (with Daryl Hall) and as you can imagine, Chad asked him all about that experience.

Stallone has known Hall since he was in high school as he was once in a band with Hall’s band mate, John Oats.  He said that after doing some research, he gave the producer of the show a call and pitched the idea of doing an all Philly episode.  The producer and Hall both liked the idea and the group got together to remix “Take Me Back,” one of the most popular songs from Rocky.

Speaking of music, Stallone maintains that it was always something that he wanted to be involved with because it was something that just came naturally to him.  And even with all the trials, tribulations, downtime, successes and failures - at the end of the day - it was still something he wanted to do.

And you know we couldn’t let the younger Stallone go without asking him the most important question, what was it like to be a part of Rocky?  Stallone insists that it was a bit of a surreal experience.  Nothing in his life could have prepared he or his brother for the success that would come from the movie.

Prior to Rocky, Sly was an out of work actor and Frank was a struggling musician.  When Rocky was released, the two became celebrities nearly overnight.

Take a listen as Stallone talks about his musical inspirations and be sure to check out his new song “Don’t want to fight with me” on itunes or on his personal webpage, .  The song can also be heard on the Expendables 2 soundtrack that was just released to theaters.
