Adam Archuleta is a two-time Pac-12 first team Defensive
Back, a one-time Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year, and he was a member of
the 2002 NFC Champion St. Louis Rams.
Since leaving the NFL in 2008, Archuleta has spent time as an analyst
for ESPN, Fox, and he currently breaks down the games for the Pac-12
Conference. He joined Chad in the
afternoon Friday to talk about his life as a player and his opinions of the Pac-12 Conference.
Archuleta also talked about the struggles of the USC offense and he said the main issue is the offensive line play.
“The offensive line is having a hard time protecting Matt Barkley…Last year he only had about seven or eight sacks the entire season. So he had time and he had a lot of confidence that he was going to be able to find those two studs that he has on the outside and it’s just not the same right now.”
Archuleta also spoke about the resurgence of the Beavers program this season.
“I’m a believer in Mike Riley. So there’s no shock to me that he has this team ready to play…The fact that they have won the games that they have won with the schedule that they’ve had is a little bit surprising. And you have to really tip your hat.”
Take a listen as Archuleta breaks down the rest of the
Pac-12 and look for him calling the Beavers-Cougars game Saturday at Reser
Stadium for the Pac-12 Networks.
