The Timbers have finally begun to gain a little momentum after winning two points in the last two matches. John Spencer, Timbers manager, joins the Bald Faced Truth with John Canzano to talk about last Tuesday’s match against the Houston Dynamo. The hard-fought match resulted in the suspension of Futty Danson for his aggressive defense. After facing similar aggressive play earlier this year, Spencer insinuates that Futty’s suspension was unnecessary and unfair.

Spencer talks about Futty Danson’s controversial one-game suspension for his hard tackle against Houston forward Calen Carr. He explains how Futty’s absence will hurt the Timbers this weekend against the Chicago Fire. He explains how he is motivating his team after such a terrible start to the season. He also discusses what he expects from the Timbers in the next two home games.
