With all the t’s crossed and the i’s dotted, the city of Hillsboro has confirmed that the Northwest League will relocate the Yakima Bears to Oregon.  Jerry Willey, the mayor of Hillsboro, joins the Bald Faced Truth with John Canzano to discuss the city’s new baseball franchise. If everything goes as planned, the Bears will play in Hillsboro by the spring of 2013.

Mayor Willey and John talk about how the city of Hillsboro was able to bring the Yakima Bears to Oregon. Willey reveals how excited the residents of Hillsboro are with baseball coming to the suburbs. He also describes where the baseball stadium will be located and how it will be financed. Willey then tells people what to expect from the Short-Season A team. He also explains why baseball will succeed in Hillsboro and why the Portland Beavers failed.
