Legendary coach Pat Casey, of the Oregon State beavers baseball team joined John Canzano on the "Bald-Faced Truth" radio show on Thursday on 750-AM.
Casey took over Oregon State's baseball program in 1995, and has turned the program around. He has won 613 career games here including two College World Series. He also coached seven seasons at George Fox University before taking the Beavers skipper position. Casey says the players that come to Oregon State feel as they are coming to win championships. Casey emphasizes that Oregon State is a winning program.

Casey led the Beavers to a College World Series Championship in 2006 and 2007. Now, five years later and having lost their star player (Bryan Stamps) from last season, the Beavers are looking to rebound from last year and continue the winning tradition.

Casey talked about the championship season and how the players inspired him with their will and determination that they had during that run. Casey also said that he loves home grown talent, he says the northwest is a special breeding ground for the Beavers. Casey  and John also discussed the Civil War and how he wants to punish the Ducks.

Casey feel as though he is blessed to be able to have coached as long as he could, and he wants to continue coach  and learn everyday from his new bunch of guys. Casey shared the story of Bryan Stamps, who decided to go pro and before the season Stamps was cut. He said that release took a negative toll on him. Casey also discussed the Pac-12 tournament and his teams chances of winning it all.
