Oregon Sports Hall of Famer Terrell Brandon was kind enough to join John during his special "Bald Faced Truth Foundation" fundraiser. Terrell joins the Bald Faced Truth to discuss his career before and after his retirement.
As a previous young point guard himself, Terrell has firsthand experience with Damian Lillard's current situation, and offers him some advice.
"It's good for this young man to come in with a little bit of expectations, because we here in Portland, we do have expectations of our team. But we are also a patient city, and I think that will be very key for him."
As much as he still loves the sport, fear of injury keeps Terrell mostly off the court, aside from a few special occasions.
"I haven't played since I retired, but I've shot around a couple times. I had an autistic camp last month at Grant High School, with autistic kids from 7 to 17. So with that I have to show them a lot of the skills I had from the past, so I did shoot around then."
Listen to the rest of the interview below as John and Terrell continue to talk his career, and how having access to sports as a child allowed him the opportunities to get where he is today.
