Jarvez Hall/ABC

August 14, 2012, 4:23 pm

Former Oregon State football player Jarvez Hall talked with guest host Bernard Bokenyi on the Bald Faced Truth Tuesday about being on "Extreme Makeover: The Weight Loss Edition."

When playing football, Hall said he was praised and encouraged to be overweight.

"Weight has always been an issue for me, but I felt it was masked by playing football," Hall said. "When you're in football, it's cool to be the big guy."

However at a doctor's visit after his career had ended, Hall said he weighed in at a peak of 564 pounds. At that point, he decided to make a change.

"It was tough to really see 564 pounds on the scale," Hall said. "To know that you were close to 600 pounds than you were to 500 is something I can never really explain to anybody."

When asked about what he currently weighs after his time on "Extreme Makeover: The Weight Loss Edition," Hall said to tune into the show Sunday to find out.
