Hollywood took tips from USA Archery when making the movie “The Hunger Games”. USA Archer Khatuna Lorig stepped off the set of a photo shoot and onto the phone for an exclusive interview with John Canzano on The Bald Faced Truth. Lorig talks about beginning to take up the sport of archery living in the Soviet Union in the 1980’s. She once trained by candle light in preparation for Olympic competition while living in what was then the Soviet Union. Lorig talks about becoming a United States citizen and being on the U.S. Olympic team and being chosen to be the flag bearer at the 2008 Summer Olympics.

Khatuna got a taste of Hollywood as she was instrumental in training actress Jennifer Lawrence on how to use the recurve bow for the movie “The Hunger Games”. What does Khatuna like best about being a U.S. citizen? Great interview with Khatuna Lorig, click below and listen.
